Bedienungsanleitung lesen – Lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam, um sich mit der Bedienung des Gerätes vertraut zu machen. Bedienungsanleitung aufbewahren – Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig auf. Hinweise beachten – Beachten Sie alle Hinweise und Anweisungen in der Bedienungsanleitung. Wasser und Feuchtigkeit – Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Wasser (z. B. einer Badewanne, einem Waschbecken, einem Schwimmbecken, etc.) oder an feuchten Orten, bzw. in tropischem Klima verwendet werden. Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeiten befüllten Objekte oder Gefäße (z. B. Vasen) auf das Gerät. Setzen Sie das Gerät weder Tropf- noch Spritzwasser aus. Aufstellung – Das Gerät darf nur auf einer stabilen, ebenen Oberfläche aufgestellt werden. Platzieren Sie das Gerät so, dass es keinen Erschütterungen ausgesetzt werden kann. Wandmontage – Eine Wand- oder Deckenmontage darf nur dann erfolgen, wenn das Gerät dafür vorgesehen ist. Belüftung – Stellen Sie das Gerät immer so auf, dass die Lüftungsöffnungen nicht blockiert oder verdeckt (z. B. von einem Vorhang, einer Decke, einer Zeitung, etc.) werden. Das Gerät darf z. B. nicht auf einem Bett, Sofa, Teppich, etc. aufgestellt werden. Für eine ausreichende Belüftung sollte ein Freiraum von mindestens 5 cm um das Gerät herum eingehalten werden. Hitze – Das Gerät darf nicht in die Nähe von Hitzequellen, wie z. B. einer Heizung, einem Herd oder anderen Geräten gelangen. Stromversorgung – Das Gerät darf nur mit der auf der Geräterückseite angegebenen Spannung betrieben werden. Kabel & Stecker – Das Netzkabel und der Netzstecker müssen immer in einwandfreiem Zustand sein. Der Netzstecker muss jederzeit erreichbar sein, um das Gerät vom Netz trennen zu können. Sämtliche Kabel sollten immer so ausgelegt werden, dass diese keine Stolperfalle darstellen und nicht beschädigt werden können. Stellen Sie keine Objekte auf Kabel. Wandsteckdosen, Verlängerungskabel und Mehrfachsteckerleisten dürfen niemals überbelegt werden. Reinigung – Reinigen Sie das Gerät ausschließlich mit einem trockenen, weichen und sauberen Tuch. Verwenden Sie niemals chemische Reinigungsmittel. Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen den Netzstecker. Nichtverwendung – Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht verwenden, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker. Eintritt von Objekten oder Flüssigkeiten – Es dürfen keine Objekte in das Gehäuse des Gerätes gelangen. Das Gerät darf niemals in Kontakt mit irgendwelchen Flüssigkeiten gelangen. Wann Sie eine Servicestelle aufsuchen sollten – Ziehen Sie umgehend den Netzstecker und suchen Sie eine qualifizierte Servicestelle auf, wenn einer der folgenden Ereignisse eintritt: a) Wenn der Netzstecker oder das Netzkabel beschädigt ist. b) Wenn Objekte in das Gehäuse eingedrungen sind oder das Gerät in Kontakt mit einer Flüssigkeit war. c) Wenn das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktioniert. Nehmen Sie selbst nur solche Einstellungen vor, die in dieser Bedienungsanleitung erklärt werden. d) Wenn das Gerät heruntergefallen ist oder in sonstiger Weise einer Erschütterung ausgesetzt war. Reparaturen – Reparaturen und Wartungsarbeiten dürfen nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden. Versuchen Sie niemals, das Gerät selbst zu reparieren. Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse.

Gewitter – Während eines Gewitters sollten Sie den Netzstecker ziehen. 18. Sicherheitscheck – Nach einer Reparatur sollte der durchführende Techniker einen Sicherheitscheck des Gerätes vornehmen, um zu versichern, dass das Gerät einwandfrei funktioniert. 19. Batterien – Setzen Sie Batterien immer richtig gepolt in elektrische Geräte ein. Explosionsgefahr wenn Batterien falsch eingesetzt werden. Ersetzen Sie alte Batterien stets mit neuen des gleichen Typs. Verwenden Sie alte und neue Batterien nie gleichzeitig. Alte Batterien gehören nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern müssen separat in den dafür vorgesehenen Behältern entsorgt werden. Batterien dürfen nicht übermäßiger Hitze, wie z. B. durch Sonnenschein, Feuer o. ä. ausgesetzt werden. 20. Kopfhörer – Eine zu hohe Lautstärke bei Verwendung von Ohr- oder Kopfhörern kann zu Hörschäden führen.

1. Umgang mit Disks • Das Disk-Fach Ihres Gerätes muss stets geschlossen sein, sodass kein Staub und Schmutz eindringen können, die die Linse beschädigen würden. • Berühren Sie niemals die bespielte Seite einer Disk. • Bekleben und beschreiben Sie niemals eine Disk. • Biegen Sie Disks nicht. • Halten Sie Disks immer an deren äußeren Kanten.

2. Aufbewahrung von Disks • Bewahren Sie Disks stets in ihren jeweiligen Schutzhüllen auf. • Setzen Sie Disks niemals dem direkten Sonnenlicht, Staub, Schmutz, hohen Temperaturen, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit oder Nässe aus. 3. Reinigen von Disks • Sollte eine Disk einmal verschmutzt sein, so verwenden Sie zum Säubern ein sauberes, trockenes Tuch. • Ziehen Sie das Tuch vorsichtig von der Mitte der Disk zur äußeren Kante:

Das Gerät ist mit Gummifüßen gegen ein Verrutschen ausgestattet. Die Füße sind aus einem rutschfesten Material, welches besonders konzipiert ist, keine Rückstände auf Möbeln zu hinterlassen. Einige Möbelpolituren, Holzschutzmittel oder Reinigungssprays können jedoch dazu führen, dass das Gummi aufweicht und Stellen oder Rückstände auf Möbelstücken zurückbleiben und diese möglicherweise beschädigen. Zur Vermeidung von Schäden an Holzoberflächen empfehlen wir vor Aufstellung die Benutzung selbstklebender Kissen unter den Gummifüßen.

Batterien zur Gangreserve

Bei Netzausfall wird das Gerät über Batterien versorgt. Setzen Sie zwei AAA-Batterien ein. Die Uhrzeit wird in diesem Fall gehalten, jedoch nicht angezeigt.

Batterien gehören nicht zum Lieferumfang. Batterien sind zum Normalbetrieb des Geräts nicht notwendig.

Batterien einsetzen • Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach. • Setzen Sie die Batterien mit korrekter Polarität (+/-) ein, wie im Batteriefach aufgedruckt. • Schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder. DE | 7

Drücken Sie zum Einschalten des Geräts EIN/AUS (17). Die Anzeige EIN (29) im Display leuchtet auf. Zum Ausschalten des Geräts drücken Sie erneut EIN/AUS (17). Regeln Sie die Lautstärke mit LAUTSTÄRKE (2) auf den gewünschten Pegel. Kopfhörer schließen Sie an der Kopfhörerbuchse (1) an. Regeln Sie die Lautstärke auf einen komfortablen Pegel, um Hörschäden zu vermeiden.

Automatische Abschaltung in den eco-Modus •

Nach 15 Minuten im Leerlauf im CD-Modus schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch in den ecoModus. Um das Gerät wieder einzuschalten, drücken Sie die EIN/AUS-Taste (17).

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose. Die Standarduhrzeit (12:00) blinkt im Display (12-Stunden-Format). Um während der Einstellung auf das 24-Stunden-Format zu wechseln, halten Sie die Taste UHREINSTELLUNG (5) zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt. Das Format wechselt, die Anzeige blinkt weiterhin und die Uhrzeit kann nun eingestellt werden. Zum Einstellen der Stunden drücken Sie SPRUNG VORWÄRTS/STUNDEN (13). Zum Einstellen der Minuten drücken Sie SPRUNG RÜCKWÄRTS/MINUTEN (14). Mit UHREINSTELLUNG (5) bestätigen Sie Ihre Einstellung. Zum Umschalten zwischen 12- und 24-Stundenformat halten Sie UHREINSTELLUNG (5) für zwei Sekunden gedrückt.

Zum Einstellen der Uhrzeit muss das Gerät ausgeschaltet sein. Während eines Netzausfalls oder wenn Sie den Netzstecker ziehen, gehen Ihre Einstellungen verloren, sofern Sie keine Batterien zur Gangreserve eingesetzt haben.

Uhr SLEEPTIMER einstellen • Wählen Sie den gewünschten Radiosender oder laden Sie eine CD. • Drücken Sie SLEEPTIMER (9), die Anzeige SLEEPTIMER (23) leuchtet auf. • Zum Einstellen der Einschlafzeit drücken Sie SLEEPTIMER (9), bis der gewünschte Zeitraum (90/60/30/15 Minuten) angezeigt wird. Das Gerät schaltet sich nach Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit automatisch aus. • Zur Deaktivierung des SLEEPTIMERS drücken Sie EIN/AUS (17). DE | 9

Weckalarm Diese Funktion steht Ihnen im CD-, RADIO- und SUMMER-Modus zur Verfügung. Es können zwei Weckalarme eingestellt werden (ALARM1 und ALARM2). • Schalten Sie das Gerät aus. • Schieben Sie den FUNKTIONSUMSCHALTER (16) auf die gewünschte Stellung (CD, RADIO oder SUMMER). Stellen Sie die Lautstärke ein. - Für Weckalarm mit UKW stellen Sie den gewünschten Radiosender ein. • Mit ALARM1 (3) stellen Sie ALARM1 ein. Das Display blinkt. • Mit den Tasten STUNDEN und MINUTEN (13 und 14) stellen Sie die gewünschte Weckzeit ein, dann drücken Sie ALARM1 zur Bestätigung. Die Anzeige ALARM1 (21) leuchtet auf. • Mit ALARM2 (2) stellen Sie ALARM2 ein. Das Display blinkt. • Mit den Tasten STUNDEN und MINUTEN (13 und 14) stellen Sie die gewünschte Weckzeit ein, dann drücken Sie ALARM2 zur Bestätigung. Die Anzeige ALARM2 (22) leuchtet auf. • Zur Deaktivierung des Weckalarms drücken Sie einmal ALARM1 oder ALARM2. Weiterschlummern Die voreingestellte Schlummerzeit beträgt 6 Minuten. • Zum Weiterschlummern nach dem Weckalarm drücken Sie einmal die SCHLUMMERTASTE (20). Die Anzeige SCHLUMMERN (26) leuchtet auf und die Anzeige ALARM blinkt. Der Weckalarm ertönt erneut, sobald die Schlummerzeit abgelaufen ist. • Zur Deaktivierung des Weckalarms drücken Sie EIN/AUS (17). Der Weckalarm ist automatisch für den nächsten Tag eingestellt.

Radio • •

Zur Auswahl des Radiobandes schieben Sie den FUNKTIONSUMSCHALTER (16) auf UKW. Zur Wahl eines Radiosenders drehen Sie den Drehknopf SENDERWAHL(15), bis Sie Ihren Lieblingssender gefunden haben.

Zur Verbesserung des UKW-Empfangs legen Sie die Antenne vollständig aus.

CD-Player • •

Zur Auswahl des CD-Betriebs (CD, CD-R und CD-RW Discs werden unterstützt), schieben Sie den FUNKTIONSUMSCHALTER (16) auf CD. CD laden: - Öffnen Sie das Laufwerk mit ÖFFNEN (18). - Legen Sie eine CD mit dem Aufdruck nach oben ein. - Schließen Sie das CD-Laufwerk wieder (19). Schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Im Display wird für zwei Sekunden die Gesamtzahl der Musiktitel auf der CD angezeigt. Anschließend kehrt das Gerät zur Anzeige der Uhrzeit zurück. Drücken Sie einmal WIEDERGABE/PAUSE (11), um die Wiedergabe zu starten.

Während der Wiedergabe stehen Ihnen die folgenden Funktionen zur Verfügung: • Zur Anzeige des aktuell spielenden Musiktitels drücken Sie ANZEIGE (8). • Einen Musiktitel wählen Sie mit SPRUNG RÜCKWÄRTS/MINUTEN (14) oder SPRUNG VOR10 | DE

WÄRTS/STUNDEN (13). Zur Suche nach einer bestimmten Stelle auf der Disc halten Sie SPRUNG RÜCKWÄRTS/MINUTEN (14) oder SPRUNG VORWÄRTS/STUNDEN (13) gedrückt. Zur Unterbrechung der Wiedergabe drücken Sie einmal WIEDERGABE/PAUSE (11); zur Fortsetzung der Wiedergabe drücken Sie die Taste erneut. Zur Beendigung der Wiedergabe drücken Sie STOPP (12).

WIEDERHOLUNG/ZUFALLSWIEDERGABE Diese Funktion haben Sie im WIEDERGABE- und STOPP-Modus. • Drücken Sie einmal WIEDERHOLUNG/ZUFALL (7), um den aktuellen Musiktitel zu wiederholen. Die Anzeige WIEDERHOLUNG (25) blinkt. • Drücken Sie die Taste zweimal, um alle Musiktitel auf der CD zu wiederholen. Die Anzeige WIEDERHOLUNG (25) leuchtet auf. • Drücken Sie die Taste dreimal, um alle Musiktitel in zufälliger Reihenfolge abzuspielen. Die Anzeige ZUFALL (28) leuchtet auf. Die Anzeige WIEDERHOLUNG ist erloschen. • Drücken Sie die Taste erneut, um die WIEDERHOLUNGS-Funktion zu verlassen.

PROGRAMMWIEDERGABE Zur Benutzung der PROGRAMM-Funktion für CDs muss sich das Gerät im STOPP-Modus befinden. • Zur Wiedergabe einer Liste von Musiktiteln (max. 20) in einem Programm drücken Sie PROGRAMM (6). • Mit SPRUNG RÜCKWÄRTS/MINUTEN (14) oder SPRUNG VORWÄRTS/STUNDEN (13) wählen Sie einen gewünschten Musiktitel. • Drücken Sie nun PROGRAMM (6) zur Bestätigung. Wiederholen Sie den vorherigen Schritt zur Auswahl weiterer Musiktitel und bestätigen Sie jeweils mit PROGRAMM (6). • Mit WIEDERGABE/PAUSE (11) beginnen Sie die Programmwiedergabe. • Im STOPP-Modus drücken Sie einmal PROGRAMM, um Ihre Programmierung zu überprüfen. Mit mehrfachem Tastendruck auf PROGRAMM zeigen Sie alle Musiktitel im PROGRAMM an. • Zur Löschung des Programms vor der Wiedergabe drücken Sie zunächst PROGRAMM und danach STOPP. Zur Löschung des Programms während der Wiedergabe drücken Sie STOPP.

Ein Programm wird ebenfalls gelöscht, wenn Sie das CD-Laufwerk öffnen.

Reinigung und Pflege WARNUNG Ziehen Sie vor Reinigungs- und Pflegearbeiten stets den Netzstecker. • •

Reinigen Sie das Gerät außen mit einem weichen Tuch. Ist es stark verschmutzt, so befeuchten Sie das Tuch mit etwas Wasser und Neutralreiniger. Reinigen Sie die Tonabnehmerlinse mit einem Objektivpinsel für Kameras (nicht mitgeliefert).

Setup – The apparatus should only be placed on a stable, flat surface. Do not let the apparatus fall down or expose it to shock. Put the appliance on a horizontal flat surface. Connect the appliance to the mains.

CAUTION Do not put the appliance near a heat source. Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight. This appliance is equipped with rubber feet to prevent it from moving. The feet are made from non-migrating material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on furniture. However, certain types of furniture polishes, wood preservatives or cleaning sprays cause the rubber to soften and leave marks or a residue on the furniture, and potentially risk the surface to become damaged. To prevent damage to wooden surfaces, we recommend that you apply self-adhesive pads to the bottom of the rubber feet before installation.

Battery backup

In case of a power failure, the appliance relies on battery backup. For this purpose, the appliance uses two batteries (AAA). The appliance remembers the time, but does not display it.

Operation • • •

To switch on the appliance, press the ON/OFF button (17). The POWER ON indicator (29) on the display lights up. To switch off the appliance, press the ON/OFF button (17) again. To adjust the volume level, turn the VOLUME dial (2) until the desired level is set. To connect a headphone, insert the cable plug in the headphone jack (1). To prevent hearing damage, remember to adjust the volume to a comfortable level.

Switch to eco Mode •

The unit will switch to eco mode when the speaker is idle for 15 minutes at CD mode. Press the ON/OFF button (17) to switch the unit back on.

Set the time • • • • • •

Connect the appliance to the mains. The default time (12:00) flashes on the display (12H mode). When you want to switch to 24H mode during setting, hold the CLOCK ADJ (5) button for two seconds. Time will still be flashing and can be set as follows. To set the correct hour, press the SKIP FORWARD/HOUR button (13). To set the correct minutes, press the SKIP BACKWARD/MINUTE button (14). To confirm the setting, press the CLOCK ADJ (5) button. To switch the clock setting between 12H mode and 24H mode, hold the CLOCK ADJ (5) button for two seconds.

To set the time, the appliance must be switched off. During a power failure, or when unplugging the appliance, the time settings are lost, unless backup batteries are installed.

Clock functions Setting the SLEEP function • Select the desired radio station or insert a CD. • Press the SLEEP button (9). The SLEEP indicator (23) is ON. • To adjust the sleep time, press the SLEEP button (9) until the desired period is set (90/60/30/15 minutes). The appliance stops playing after the chosen time has elapsed. • To cancel the SLEEP function, press the ON/OFF button (17).

Alarm function This function is available in CD, RADIO and BUZZER mode. Two time slots are available (ALARM1 and ALARM2). EN | 19

Switch the appliance off. Slide the FUNCTION switch (16) to the desired position (CD, RADIO or BUZZER). Adjust the volume. - For FM alarm, tune to the desired radio station Press the ALARM1 button (3) to set ALARM1. The clock display flashes. Press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons (13 and 14) to set the desired time, and press the ALARM1 button to confirm the setting. The ALARM1 indicator (21) is ON. Press the ALARM2 button (2) to set ALARM2. The clock display flashes. Press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons (13 and 14) to set the desired time, and press the ALARM2 button to confirm the setting. The ALARM2 indicator (22) is ON. To cancel the alarm, press the ALARM1 or ALARM2 button once.

Snooze alarm The default snooze time is 6 minutes. • To snooze the alarm, press the SNOOZE button (20) once. The SNOOZE indicator (26) is ON, and the ALARM indicator flashes. The alarm sounds again after the snooze time has elapsed. • To stop the alarm, press the ON/OFF button (17). The alarm is automatically set for the next day.

Radio functions • •

To select the radio band, slide the FUNCTION switch (16) to the FM position. To select a frequency or radio station, turn the TUNING dial (15) until the desired frequency is set.

To improve the reception of the FM frequency, extend the aerial antenna.

CD functions • •

To select the CD function (it Supports CD, CD-R, CD-RW), slide the FUNCTION switch (16) to the CD position. To insert a CD: - Open the appliance with the OPEN button (18). - Insert the CD with the label upwards. - Close the CD compartment (19). Switch on the appliance. The display shows the total number of tracks on the CD for two seconds. After two seconds, the appliance returns to clock display. To start playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (11) once.

During playback, the following functions are available: • To show the number of the track that is currently playing, press the DISPLAY button (8). • To select a track, press the SKIP BACKWARD/MINUTE button (14) or the SKIP FORWARD/ HOUR button (13) until the desired track is set. • To search for a specific point on the disc, hold the SKIP BACKWARD/MINUTE button (14) or the SKIP FORWARD/HOUR button (13) until the point is reached and release the button. • To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (11) once; to resume playback, press the button again. • To stop playback, press the STOP button (12). 20 | EN

Using the REPEAT/RANDOM function This function is available in PLAY and STOP mode. • Press the REPEAT/RANDOM button (7) once to repeat the current track. The repeat indicator (25) flashes. • Press the button twice to repeat all tracks on the CD. The repeat indicator (25) is ON. • Press the button three times to play all tracks in random order. The random indicator (28) is ON. The repeat function is now off. • Press the button once again to exit the REPEAT function.

Using the PROGRAM function To use the PROGRAM function for CD, the playback must be in STOP mode. • To play a list of tracks (max. 20) in a program, press the PROGRAM button (6). • Press the SKIP BACKWARD/MINUTE button (14) or the SKIP FORWARD/HOUR button (13) to select a desired track. • Press the PROGRAM button (6) to confirm the selection. Repeat the previous step to select more tracks and confirm every selection with the PROGRAM button (6). • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (11) to start the program. • To check the program, press the PROGRAM button once during STOP mode. Press the PROGRAM button repeatedly to see all the tracks in the PROGRAM. • To delete the program before the program starts, press the PROGRAM button and then the STOP button. To delete the program during play, press the STOP button.

A program is also deleted when the CD compartment is opened.

Cleaning and maintenance WARNING Before performing any cleaning or maintenance, switch off and unplug the appliance. • •

Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft cloth. When the appliance is very dirty, dampen the cloth slightly with water and a neutral solution. Clean the lens with a camera lens brush/blower (not included) if the lens is dirty.
